We've now got to set the all important Path variable. Copy all of the files from the Android SDK zip into C:\android. Open up the Android SDK zip, and go into the main folder. Create a new folder on your C: Drive (or whatever you use,) and name it android. You can click Finish, skipping starting the server (we won't need it.) You can also skip the whole process if you want. Grab something to drink (or eat).Īt the end of the install we'll be prompted to sign in (if registered.) You can sign up if you'd like, or log in if you've already signed up. Finally, it will let you install what we've chosen. You can leave these default and click next. Now we'll be presented with the installation options. Let's go ahead and fire up the JDK installer.Ĭlick next, agree to the license, next again (installing to C:\Sun\SDK), and we'll be prompted to set the admin password.Įnter a password and click next. Now, we've downloaded just about everything we're going to need. The version we want is Eclipse IDE for Java Developers. Last but not least, we're going to need Eclipse. Select Windows, and the Language you want, and you can finally download the JDK. We're going to want JDK 6 Update 10 with Java EE. It will take you to a page with more choices. Click the expand button for Java SE and click on Java SE (JDK) 6. The first thing we need to do is download all of the needed files.
